Let me start out by saying that I used to own one of these. About six months ago, I didn't think that i used the planner too often and sold it to a lady in Italy. Yes, it made her day. It did not make my day. I've never felt seller's regret like I did that day. This planner is absolutely gorgeous!!!!!! One of my favorite colors is seafoam green. Add on to that the beautiful gold flake honeycomb pattern and I was sold!!!!!!!!
I looked for months for another dark mint Kikki K but to no avail. All of the ones on eBay were $193 plus dollars. I can't afford that. I had all but given up on owning one.
However, one day last week, I started doing a weird search on eBay. I wondered what would happen if I typed in "mint honeycomb Kikki K". Guess what?!!!! My unicorn popped up and it was very reasonably priced!!!!! There were three days left for bidding and no one had bid on it! I truly think that the lady didn't put enough descriptive words!!! I watched it until i was blue in the face!!!!!! I just knew that someone was going to bid at the last minute and I wouldn't win it!!! Late on Tuesday, the auction was close to ending and I won it!!!!!! I couldn't be happier. I don't have it completely set up yet, but I want to take my time.
This brings me to another point. Although it is so much fun to buy and sell planners on Facebook and eBay, you have to be so very careful!!!! Make sure that you look at every single picture that is posted. If you see something odd, ask!! I think that most ladies on Facebook are honest, but I've been ripped off a few times by not being careful! Here are a few guidelines for you:
- Ask how old the planner is. Is the seller the first owner, if not, why is she selling it?
- Are the rings tight or are they a bit wonky? The seller has to tell the truth or you can go after a Paypal claim.
- Speaking of Paypal claims, ALWAYS PAY THROUGH GOODS AND SERVICES!!!!. Don't let someone tell you that they can't afford the fee unless they are paid through friends and family. If something happens, you are not covered. No matter how good the friend is, please just pay through "Goods and Services".
- I don't have any issue buying and selling to people from different countries but there are a few thing you should know. If a picture of an item is posted, ask the seller to put a post it note next to the item with their name on it and the date. I often ask them to hold up two or three fingers so that I know it is a live picture. I had $40 taken from me from a gal but, luckily, I paid through "goods and services". However, it can take up to 30 days to get your money.
- If a deal sounds too good, it probably is!!! You ladies work way to hard for you money to let some one take it from you.
- Also, never, never, never pay for something other than with paypal!!!!! Do not use Western Union or cash!!!!!! That's got bad written all over it!!!!!!!
Facebook and eBay and be great places to buy things. You just must be very careful.
