Planner 101

I am a self confessed stationery addicted, and have been for as long as I can remember. School shopping during the summer holidays was my favourite thing to do. So, for me, the transition to becoming a planner addict was inevitable.

Here in the UK the planner community is continuously growing and I often seen posts on FB groups asking what are the essentials for planning.

This is what I would personally recommend.

Planners!

This is, without doubt, the hardest part.

Do you want rings? or a spiral bound planner? Do you want a pocket sized planner? A personal or A5 size? Are you going to with Filofax or Kikki K? or maybe a spiral bound Erin Condren Life planner is more you? or perhaps a Mambi Happy Planner. And they are only the most popular ones in the UK. The list in endless and I could do a full post just on these. If you want to try them all, join FB selling pages or look on eBay. Paperchase also have a range of planners, both ringed and spiral bound.

What about pens?

I LOVE gel writers. I LOVE sharpies. I LOVE felt tips. I just LOVE pens!
I am currently using an Erin Condren Planner and find that gel pens don't snap though the pages. I LOVE frixion pens and Papermate Ink joys.

Pimp my Planner

Paperclips, wash tape, stickers, journal cards, die cuts, shaker dashboards, charms, pompoms. Get yourself to instagram search for #plannerinspo then go to Etsy and search planner accessories et voila. Be prepared to spend lots of pennies and hours searching!!

Washi tape is plentiful and you can pretty much get anything design/pattern/theme you need.

Finding planner peace is often a long drawn out process. You WILL find it and it will be like a light bulb moment.
